This week we learned all about recycling! We also had a very special guest come to teach us about recycling and composting. We learned so much!
Here are some of the books we read...
First Beth showed us what kinds of objects can be recycled on a big poster!
Then we got to to each choose an item and sorted them by type.
Then we headed outside to learn about composting. Beth brought rich soil from her own compost bin!
We got to smell it, feel it, and watch all the little critters crawl through it.
We saw how peels and skins from fruits and vegetables begin to break down over time to provide rich nutrients for out gardens!
Lots of wonderful hands-on learning going on here.
